Chislehurst faces London to its north and west, and the Kent countryside to the south and east. The Chislehurst Society was formed in 1934 as a pressure group for obtain better facilities for the many new families arriving here to live in the new houses that were being built to the north and west of the village. It was converted into a residents' association after the War, and became a registered charity in 1989. We work to maintain and improve Chislehurst for its residents and visitors. We have no paid staff; all our work is done by volunteers. We welcome new members whether they live in Chislehurst or not, and are always in need of more volunteers. Please let us have any comments on the contents of this site. |
