The Chislehurst Society proudly presents...
Chislehurst - No ordinary suburb
A bequest from Charles Dunn, a long-time member of the Chislehurst Society, has enabled us to produce a film documentary about Chislehurst, the village he loved.
Under the leadership of Lesley Pullar, a member of the Chislehurst Society executive commitee, Roger Missing of Missing Link DVD was commissioned to produce the film. Filming began in April 2006 and continued to the end of the year, with editing in early 2007. The resulting DVD (or video if you prefer that format) went on sale in April 2007.
The DVD is a showcase of both historical and contemporary Chislehurst. It is a fascinating mosaic of this Kentish village on the edge of London. The film illustrates how Chislehurst has successfully preserved its identity, while moving with the times.
To obtain your copy of the DVD or video:
- Buy the DVD at any of four locations in the village for £10: Michael Sim in Royal Parade, Royal Arts in Royal Parade, Paper Lane in the High Street, and Dixons, the Post Office, also in the High Street, or
- contact us to pick up your order from a member of the executive committee.
The film makes a great present to past or present residents, and should be of particular interest to newcomers to the village.
