Alun and Joy Jones Environmental Studies Awards 2010

The Awards were presented at Coopers Technology College on 20 May.

Wiffen portfolioThe top individual prize this year went to 11 year old Catherine Wiffen for her work in tracing the life and homes of the nine generations of her family who have lived in Chislehurst. Her own self portait was on the front of her portfolio. Catherine is the youngest ever winner of the individual top prize.

The image here is taken from Catherine's portfolio, which contained photographs of members of her family, photographs or drawings of the houses in which they lived, and extracts from letters and other documents such as census forms.

Babington House School won the top school prize, and Red Hill School won the top Primary School award. Congratulations to them and to all the prize winners.
