Chislehurst clean-up morning - next event 28 November 2010
Thanks to the 12 volunteers who were able to attend the last event on 26 September.
Our litter-picking coverage included the roads around the ponds, Watts Lane, Prince Imperial Road, the cricket ground, Bromley Road and Bromley Lane, the Commons between Cooper's School and Royal Parade and outside The Ramblers' Rets.
There are reports of an increasing amount of graffiti on and around green Lane, which some of our members are working hard to eradicate.
The next event will take place on 28 November at 10am, meeting in the Red Cross car park on the High Street.
If you, your friends, or your neighbours (not necessarily Chislehurst Society members) would like to take part, don’t hesitate to contact the Society in the usual way or simply email your details to Anthony.mcclarty@btinternet.comPS. If you're unable to attend this time, don't worry! The next event will take place at the end of January.
Equipment will be provided on the day, but if you have any of the following can I ask you to bring with you:
- Litter-picker
- High visibility waistcoat
- Gloves
If you know a site (anywhere in the BR7 postal district) that is blighted by litter and/or graffiti please let me know and I’ll ensure it receives attention.
When we have finished our work, everyone is invited to The Queen’s Head for a reviving beverage.
