Chislehurst clean-up morning - next event 25 July 2010

Thanks go to the volunteers, including 4 from The Rotary Club, who turned up for the last event at the end of march.

Due to this record number of volunteers we were able to widen our litter-picking coverage to include Watts Lane, the cricket ground, the “Coopers route” behind Royal Parade, the area around the Ramblers Rest and the woods at the junction of Leesons Hill, St. Paul’s Wood Hill and St. Paul’s Cray Road.

Dare we say it but the combined efforts of various Chislehurst volunteer groups and the Council appears to be keeping the incidence of graffiti under control – for now!!

The next event will take place on 25 July.

If you, your friends, or your neighbours (not necessarily Chislehurst Society members) would like to take part, don’t hesitate to contact the Society in the usual way or simply email your details to Anthony.mcclarty@btinternet.com

Equipment will be provided on the day, but if you have any of the following can I ask you to bring with you:

If you know a site (anywhere in the BR7 postal district) that is blighted by litter and/or graffiti please let me know and I’ll ensure it receives attention.

When we have finished our work, everyone is invited to The Queen’s Head for a reviving beverage.
