Booking the Old Chapel Hall or Office
How to Book
To hire the Old Chapel Hall or Office, visit our BOOKING PAGE to create a booking request. We'll contact you — typically within 1-2 working days; to discuss your event and what you'll need to know when using our venue. We won't accept bookings for religious or political events.
Once you receive our email accepting your booking, return to this page and pay the £50 REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT (returned post-event minus any deductions for damage).
Then, we'll invoice you for the full hire cost — payable before your event can take place.
And that's it! We look forward to hosting you at The Old Chapel and wish you success with your event.

Hire Rates
The Hall
- £33 + VAT per hour (one-off bookings)
- £28 + VAT per hour (for regular bookings: 6+ sessions within 3 months)
- Chislehurst Society members receive a 5% discount on one-off bookings
The Office
- £20 + VAT per hour (one-off bookings)
- £15 + VAT per hour (regular bookings)
Capacity
- Hall: Up to 60 people. Dimensions 5.26m x 9.40m
- Office: 10–12 people

- Fully equipped kitchen: cooker, microwave, fridge-freezer, kettle, glasses, china, and cutlery
- Audio-visual equipment: for presentations (must be pre-booked)
- Toilets: 2 standard, 1 accessible with baby-changing facilities
- Furniture: 60 chairs, 6 trestle tables, 6 square tables
- Underfloor heating

The Office
- Kitchen: microwave, fridge, kettle, glasses, china, cutlery
- Audio-visual equipment: for presentations (must be pre-booked)

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a bouncy castle, smoke machine, Blu Tack, or glitter?
🚫 Unfortunately, none of these are permitted.
Is smoking allowed?
🚭 No smoking is allowed anywhere on the premises, including the car park.
Can I use the car park for my event?
❌ No, the car park cannot be used as an extension of your event.
What are the hire hours?
🕗 You can hire the Old Chapel from 8:00 am. The venue must be vacated by 11:00 pm.
Can we serve alcohol?
🍷 Yes, you may bring and serve alcohol, but you cannot sell it. The building is not licensed for alcohol sales.
Can I hire a DJ?
🎧 Yes, but please be considerate of our neighbours.
🔇 All music must stop by 10:30 pm.
Is parking available?
🚗 One parking space is included for the hirer, plus one disabled space.
Visitors should use nearby public car parks—details will be provided upon booking confirmation.
